Men's Fashion: Pitti Uomo 2012//Florence, Italy

- By Nadia LaMantia - It was my first time attending Pitti Immagine Uomo, “the world’s most important platform for men’s clothing and accessory collections and for launching new projects in men’s fashion.” As a resident, however, I was no stranger to the fair’s impact on Italy and the fashion industry. 1072 brands and collections are on display. Chic movers and shakers from around the world descend on Florence every January for the men’s fashion week, intensifying the already culturally diverse city. Nearly 40 percent of the participants are foreign. Austrians can be heard speaking Italian, the English conversing in Japanese, and even French expressing themselves in Spanish. The international language however, is fashion.

CREATIVITY 101

Today: Day #1//Workout

Unlike a lot of people I know, I usually don't make New Years resolutions or promises or whatevers. The most popular NYresolution I've heard over the years is getting in shape and committing to going to the gym. Sooo, in true peer pressure spirit I have decided to be serious about the whole gym thing. I don't know how smart it is to have Ruth as my trainer...I feel like it may take a toll on our friendship...we shall see. I will definitely keep you guys posted, and maybe we can all do this together. If you want to that is.

Today we worked on upper arms, and tomorrow we are working on legs. I'm getting ready to pass out...in a good way of course.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I really can't believe it's about to be spring again. Time is definitely flying by. With that said, I have been so busy these few days that my hair has been looking like a giant poof. Although I'm kind of liking my newfound "Nanny Fine" buffoon, it's seriously time to get it done. That's a project for the weekend. Trust me, my hair is definitely a full time gig.

Home: At Home//Nicole Gibbons

Nicole Gibbons is one of my favorite home decor bloggers and guess what...she was featured on HGTV's "My Favorite Place". Do you guys remember when I interviewed her for Shukorina? She is such a sweet girl and it's great to get a chance to talk to people who are truly passionate about what they do. Since decorating is my new found love/obsession I will definitely keep tuning in to So Haute for more inspiration;)

What a day! Today was spent having a birthday lunch with my friend Bethlehem, chatting it up on the phone with Sineet and running random errands. I love the fact that I have such a flexible schedule, but as this week is coming to an end, I am officially getting scared I won't be able to highlight everything in my to-do book.

Yes, I'm insane! I seriously can't help it, but if I don't write and highlight nothing gets accomplished.

Right now I'm trying to figure out where to store the Christmas decorations I pulled out in order to stop any possible depression (no mommy and daddy this Christmas). What's depressing me right now is all the glitter and tinsel that needs to get picked up. That's what I get for bedazzling the place.
