This is not how I remember skateboarding, she does look good though. Designers are going street in a new way by creating skateboards and longboards. I'm pretty sure that falling is much prettier when riding on one of these. Don't you think? It's like when you have to deliver not so positive news...it's always better to do it looking somewhat cute. Trust me, it works. This is a major DIY project. Hmm...

Maison Martin Margiela + H&M = November 15th, 2012

We talked about this when the announcement was made but it's definitely on for November 15th. I can't stop thinking about Maison Martin Margiela's collaboration with H&M. It may actually be one of the best ones so far. This is huge and very different as MMM is known for playing with unusual shapes as well as being a very exclusive fashion house.

You know that dress that may become see through as soon as you step out of the house? That same dress, where the only way you're able to wear it is by first getting approved and checked by at least two of your closest girlfriends, preferably by individuals who are able to present sworn affidavits by their opticians in regards to their 20/20 vision. We all have one of those little monsters in our closets, if not several. Speaking as a frequent offender of the somewhat sheer dress. I'm beginning to think that I'm doing it on purpose...subconsciously of course. It's happened far too many times for it to be a "mistake". Hmm.

There is just something liberating about dressing a bit reveling and this is coming from a person who would wear a full length kaftan to the beach (not a bikini person). Since I'm not very big on cleavage maybe sheer is where I should put my efforts. I will definitely do some research on this matter.

For this fall think blinged out cocktail rings, cuffs, and collar necklaces. It's always fun with a little extra umf and accessories are the best way to add flair to the simplest outfits. Since I rarely wear jewelry this is probably going to be a minor adjustment for me but all you crazy kids out there should definitely go for it!

I'm finally going through the resort collections for 2013. This has kind of become my favorite season, not that I don't love the Spring/Summer collections but  after spending half of this summer in Sweden/Europe aka "the land that summer forgot". I'm beginning to think we should have just skipped to Resort right away. If that's not payback, I don't know what is.

As spring is just around the corner and kind of already here (at least where I live, yeah I'm bragging). Don't worry, I will be in Europe for a while and rumor has it that it's brutal over there...the weather that is. One thing I love during all seasons is the art of layering. Yes, layers, a'la "someone may brake into my house and I have to wear everything I own"...ok maybe not that extreme and a lot more refined and tasteful, but you get the idea. I love a look that works from day to night...and the easiest way of doing that is with layers and accessories.

This may even be a great time to get creative and perhaps change the buttons on a jacket from last season...
