Food: Pesto Chicken
As I was racking my brain of what to make, this delicious recipe popped into my lovely brain:) Since I was in the mood of something quick and yummy, Pesto Chicken w/ homemade Pesto seemed like a great solution.
1) You will need:
For the Chicken:
1 Pack of boneless Chicken breast
1 Lemon
For the homemade Pesto Sauce:
3 cups fresh basil leaves
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts (I use pine nuts)
4 cloves garlic, peeled
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
2) Start with getting all of the ingredients for the Pesto ready and put in a blender and blend into a creamy sauce. Once the the Pesto is done, you should preheat the oven at °350.
3) Clean the Chicken. I always wash my Chicken with lemon and water. When the Chicken is clean you place it in an oven-safe pan and place the Pesto evenly on each piece and put it in the oven for about 18 min. (Check on it).
4) Make a sallad of your choice to go with your meal and maybe a little bit of pasta.
Enjoy!

Event: Watch the Throne//Jay Z + Kanye West
Last night I went to the "Watch the Throne" concert. Pretty cool people. Today is the main show and I heard that it's going to be crazy. These guys are so talented and it's super clear that they love what they do. What a feeling:) Although I'm not the biggest concert goer, this was totally worth my feet dying. Yes, they died!
Ps. Thanks to Greg @ Bentley for the ticket.

Event: Happy Birthday Kenny!
This Thursday was Kenny's (Burns) birthday party. I may be getting old because it took me 10 minutes to die in my heels. What is going on??? I need someone to invent heels that make more sense. It was too the point where I felt like attacking this random guy on the street and steal his sneakers. The party was held at Vanquish in Midtown. Good times:)

Moi on the radio...
...don't be scared, I'm not singing!! I'm being interviewed on my best friend Nadja's radio show here in Gothenburg. You guys can tune in tomorrow right here at 11.30am (Swedish time, do the math) but only if you promise not to laugh:/ See you there!!
Tough Love...
Meet my friend Pantea! We've known each other for quiet some time now, and one thing that I have always loved about this girl is her brutal honesty. When I say brutal, I mean MURDER! You should never ask this girl for critical feedback unless you're really ready for it. The funny thing is that her comments always make sense. Almost 100% of the time. I love it! I think that's why she is one of my best friends. Seriously!

M.I.A no more!
I am in Sweden. Yes, I ran away! Ok, not really...but I am here. This is the first time I'm actually sitting down in front of my computer. I have so much to show you guys...and I will, but not right now. I get that this posting makes zero sense right now, and you're probably wondering "why is this crazy lady even logged on", the answer is "because this crazy lady can", mohahaha! On that note I shall sign out and leave you innocent people alone:)

Thank you Stranger!
These past couple of weeks have been really crazy in my world. A lot of things have happened...really good things. Hopefully I'll be able to share it with you guys really soon. It's not that it's a secret but sometimes it's good to keep certain things to yourself, at least for a little while. OMG, I'm totally making myself curious although I know it's not that serious. This blog wouldn't be doing this well if it wasn't for all of you and I'm super grateful that you're even an itty bitty bit interested to hear what I have to say:)
I believe there is something Godly about being able to recognize people and being able to say thank you. In the midst of "hectic life", we sometimes forget the people who encouraged and supported us. Not only the people we know, but even perfect strangers.
I'm talking about you Jack:)
The other day I was doing some research for a client and in the midst of my "have to get this done asap" panic attack I called a company who I thought would be of help. An older man by the name of Jack picked up the phone and what was supposed to be a quick "hi, can you help me" turned into a 45 min conversation over the phone with someone I've never met before. He told me that his beloved Iris had passed away and he told me that he used to be an editor for a magazine during the war. I was fascinated! I kept asking him questions after questions and he seemed to enjoy answering them. He seemed to enjoy sharing what was in his heart.
Eventually I worked up the courage to ask him if I could read a paragraph from my book to him and he graciously said yes. When I was done, it was time for my feedback. I almost held my breath as I thought I would cry once he told me that he hated it...but he didn't! He loved it, and told me exactly what I had to do to get published.
Jack and I are not friends, he's not a friend of the family, nor do we go to the same church or anything of that nature, but yet he inspired me. It was a stranger that God put in my way to move and to inspire me.
I hope that all of you're dreams come true...
...so to sum it all up...
THANK YOU STRANGER!

Beautiful Life//De-Lor
More music from my talented little cousin Sebastian Michael! I am sooo proud of him and I am so inspired by his hard work and drive. He is not only talented but gets better and better every single day. To be able to do something that you love and to be able to make a living off of it is a blessing from God, and only from God! This kid is as humble and grounded as he has always been. He simply deserves this!
Outfit of the day...Ok, not ToDay, but a Day!
I love this outfit...only because it's all about layering and I'm obsessed with the color scheme. Maybe not a "who's that girl" outfit, but definitely a "is she wearing a short sleeved silk shirt over an oversized jean shirt" outfit. Just saying!
Now to the most important part of this outfit, the beehive placed directly on top of my head! Yes, it's my real hair and not a hat. I will now teach you how to make yours as fortress/Minnie Mouse like as mine. Step one is to take an elastic, one of those that doesn't rip your hair, obviously! Place it in a high ponytail and make sure that you get all the hair. Step two is to split the pony tail in half and wrap it around the elastic...and voila, a bird nest is formed! You're welcome my darlings:)

A Saturday in my Life!
Yesterday was spent outside of CNN's headquarters in downtown Atlanta and at the Auburn Music Fest, two very different scenarios. The initial plan was to interview Q from 112 for my weekly video postings for Shukorina and 11 Alive. When that got canceled and a few whiny-heiny comments later (from yours truly:), Ruth suggested that we go to the Auburn Music Fest in downtown Atl. Since I had never been, it sounded like a good idea. On our way over there we passed CNN's headquarters...and the rest is a nosy persons dream come true.

Stealing a Baby Name//Smart or Evil?//You know who you are!
It has come to my attention that girls actually steal their friends baby names. Shady...huh...you know who you are. I find this to be interesting as this offense is ranked in a somewhat of grey-zone of crimes. However, to some it is actually close to murder. I'm serious!!
It goes a little something like this...You have a BFF (best friend forever) whom you share everything with. One day you start talking about having children and voila you commit the cardinal sin of telling her what you plan on naming your future bundle of joy, not knowing that this copy cat monster of a friend is actually taking notes....you know who you are!
Now! Who can you blame? Is it her fault that you fed her the info? Is it her fault that she lacks any type of imagination? Not really...huh? It's your fault! You where naive enough to think that she wouldn't steal your baby name.
Let's talk legal...obviously this cannot be classified as stealing intellectual property as nothing was put in writing. You're probably thinking that I'm insane for even mentioning this, but consider this a disclaimer...if there is a friend of mine out there that has baby name info (that I've provided) keep that shizznee to yourself. Not playing!! Just saying.
On that note...I love my friends:)
