The whole world was shocked when learning of Alexander McQueens' suicide. The fashion qorld had lost one of its most talented stars. He was a legend in the making and the House of McQueen was a loved and well respected fashion house. After the tragic death of McQueen, his most trusted aide Sarah Burton was appointed Creative Director of the London based company. Although some of you are just now hearing of her, as she designed the wedding dress for Cate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, however, Ms. Burton has been designing the Alexander McQueen women's line since 2000. I'm so excited to see all the great things that she will present. Below are some of my favorites from the McQueen Resort 2011 collection. Lovely! She is making her own mark on the brand while staying true to the drama and art that was Alexander McQueen.
